We are hiring a Health and Safety Specialist/ Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop health and safety sub-plans, procedures, rules, training handouts, and materials
• Execute daily duty work according to the of Health and Safety performance Indicators of the Contractor
• Conduct workplace inspections, identifying the risk and hazards on the project site and contributing to eliminate and substitute the hazards 
• Supervise the Health and Safety personnel of the subcontractors, and ensure the health and safety operation of the subcontractors and service providers 
• Follow up the preventative and corrective action list with subcontractors, ensure the implementation on site 
• Organize the toolbox meetings for the employees and subcontractor(s) when provide health and safety induction 
• Supervise and develop health safety monthly and weekly reports
• Conduct Induction training and visitors’ induction on site
• Participate as Emergency response team member during the emergency
• Attend incident and accident investigation as an investigation team secretary and develop incident report for review by Health and Safety Manager and Project Management team
• Support to maintain a health and safety diary/record-book comprehensively recording all relevant matters concerning site health and safety management, inspections, and monitoring, incidents and emergencies, as well as other relevant issues. 
• Execution of any other assigned work from Health and Safety Manager                                                                                             

Professional background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering science or law and legal field 
• A professional certificate from an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) accredited training organization of Mongolia or Certificate IV in OHS 
• Certificate of first aid and other national/ international health and safety training certificate is preferable
• Good command of the English and Mongolian languages

Experience

• At least 5 years of proven professional experience in coordinating the implementation of project Contactor’s health and safety management plan at the project site 
• At least one project experience financed by international financial institutions
