We are hiring an Advisor Planning and Scheduling.





Duties and Responsibilities:

Creating Value (10%)
Delivering the Project, Commercial Focus, Optimising & Sustaining Value
• Understand the project requirements and timing of milestones required.
• Assist the Senior Projects Planner with project level tasks relating to project scoping, time (MS Project), cost, quality, safety, design & documentation, stakeholder liaison, procurement, risk/Hazop studies, and progress reporting.
• Implement proposed changes to project & contract management systems to ensure compatibility and delivery of business needs
• Contribute to the development of RT scheduling practices.
• Maintain expertise in professional planning practices.

• Lead the team/individuals through change by understanding the principles and impact of that change, and acting accordingly

3. Getting Results (80%)
Protecting HS & E, Getting the Technology Right, Knowing the Business of Projects
• Update and maintain schedule data to ensure project design consistency and optimization, e.g., commonality of design and equipment, procurement of long lead Maintain data base of schedule metrics using global Rio Tinto Projects as information sources.
• Support the use/integration of project and contract management systems into the daily operation of the business and ensure systems are user friendly and align with current best practice.
• Administration of contracts including scope of works & tender/contract preparation, correspondence (preparation/responses, registers etc), attend & record contract meetings/outcomes, contract variations and payments, cost & schedule monitoring/progress reporting, works inspections (according to experience and training) close-out tasks.
• Performs project progress monitoring, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts inline with progress achieved to date (trending the reality into the contractor forecasts)
• Integral in the project change management process and ensures that changes identified and or approved are modeled and or implemented within the current project schedule.
• Has a firm grasp on the process of cost control and can provide relevant schedule reviews and data checks as required during a project.

• Provide leadership in HSEC by anticipating current and future risks and managing these
• Manage all HSEC related activities by setting and monitoring objectives to ensure standards are met.
Generic - Compliance and Risk management
• Provide leadership in assurance by anticipating current and future risks and managing these
• Manage all compliance related activities by setting and monitoring objectives to ensure standards are met.
Generic - Data management
• Ensure that data and documents are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle and that the most updated and complete version is stored in an accessible and secure infrastructure.

Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Social Science, Society or relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.

 

Contract term: 1 Year

Work Schedule: 8 hours, 5/2
