Duties and Responsibilities:

The Seepage project coordinator – Tailings will have the following specific responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • The main responsibilities of the Tailings- Engineer (Project control) is to assist in all TSF seepage related projects:
  • Developing and tracking schedule and construction progress TSF seepage projects at the field.
  • Inform and presenting project status and field progress as per plan to department leaders and stakeholders.
  • Implements and maintains Project Planning and Scheduling.
  • Evaluates  project status against baseline schedules and assess , escalsation of the impact of changes or delays in design or construction,
  • Supporting and delivering construction commissioning and project related permitting services.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Civil, hydrotechnical engineering degree or relevant discipline.
  • Experience typically achieved through graduate qualifications and at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Civil, mechanical, hydrotechnical , dam constuction field experience
  • Deliver work to plan, track task progress and resolve issues that block task completion, escalating where appropriate;
  • Capture and analyse business data to make timely decisions to deliver on business objectives;
  • Deploy available resources, considering their most effective and efficient use to achieve team priorities;
  • Take direct action for improving productivity for all tasks performed in line with standard work practices;
  • For supervisors, the primary focus would be daily to weekly performance
  • Support people to consistently demonstrate HSEC work practices and address non- compliance with team members directly;
  • Monitor people to recognise signs of physical and mental distress and offer support where required;
  • Conduct regular, planned reviews of HSEC risks;
  • Stop work if an appropriate control is not in place or working properly;
  • Regularly conduct discussions and share with team members the transferable actions arising from HSEC incidents.
  • Develop an awareness of your values, strengths, and development areas through feedback and reflection;
  • Understand what is expected of you and seek the additional support you need to do it well;
  • Take advantage of all opportunities for learning and development and their application;
  • Be aware of the way you act, its impact on others and be able to adjust appropriately.
  • Exhibit an open mindset while interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds;

  • For supervisors, vision would be at least up to 3 months."
