We are hiring a Health and Safety Officer
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings for the employees and subcontractor(s)
- Provide site instruction for subcontractors and visitors
- Supervise and monitor health and safety of overall operation
- Conduct daily workplace inspections at the Project sites and recognize hazards and risks to develop corrective actions
- Take all proactive measures to prevent any potential incident and accident
- Follow up the preventative and corrective action list with subcontractors
- Develop health and safety, procedures, training schedule, and training slides
- Translate health and safety procedures and instructions from English to Mongolian, when necessary
- Participate as an emergency response team member during the emergency
Professional background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering science or law and legal field
- A professional certificate from an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) accredited training organization of Mongolia
- Certificate of first aid and other national/ international health and safety training certificate is preferable
- Good command of the English and Mongolian languages
Experience
- At least 2 years of proven professional experience in coordinating the implementation of a health and safety management plan
