Face geological mapping which includes collecting lithologies, structure, alterations, and mineralization information.
Develop a sound understanding of site geology which includes regularly updating level plans and 3D models
Plan and implement surface and underground diamond drilling programs, ensuring. timely execution of site setup, liaising with underground stakeholders and drill contractors. Ensure zero harm across drilling operations with safety and task observations carried out and documented daily/weekly/monthly.
Prepare, collect, and submit underground muck and other samples for assay/testing, including managing and training loader operators in muck sample collection. Utilizing best practice sampling techniques. Carry out sampling and laboratory QA/QC as required.
Core logging to QAQC lithologies classification from face mapping and sample collection.
Participate in reconciliation issues (i.e., modelled grade and recoveries versus actual grade and recoveries) by working closely with the geology, mining, and metallurgical teams.
Work with others to ensure successful completion of reports on geologically related mining activities for internal and external (e.g. government reporting) use in a timely manner.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Keep abreast of developments within the field of underground block cave mining geology and utilize this information to facilitate the on-going development of the programs for further discovery.

Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or other related disciplines.
Preferred minimum 1 year’s work experience but not required.
Stamina to work in an underground mining environment.
