Identify, evaluate and control the workplace environmental stressors or risks across the company’s Surface and Underground operations and projects.
Support implementation of all aspects of health standards, procedures, legislations, systems and initiatives, and provide technical and professional expertise to the operations and ensure relevant contractors and employees comply and meet the company’s health requirements.
Conduct field coaches to key stakeholders including site management team, supervisors, safety and environmental advisors and other operational employees to increase and enhance the knowledge and awareness on the occupational hygiene initiatives and practices
Work independently with minimal guidance and be able to provide guidance and make contribution through applying technical and professional knowledge, skills and experiences to solve the health and hygiene concerns and recommend suitable and effective solutions to frontline leaders and team members.
Conduct occupational hygiene field inspections and monitoring as required to ensure all health and hygiene risks are appropriately addressed and the controls in place are effective.
Participate, involve, and assist in operations and maintenance work planning process to support the elimination of health and hygiene risks
Actively engage and participate in operational pre-starts and other required meetings on regular basis to ensure frontline leaders and team members require the health supports and coaching on managing health and hygiene risks for the shift
Support the advisors and superintendents to effectively manage and assist day to day basic work if requires
Participate in HSE internal and external audits, critical control verifications and assessments, inspections and observations in the workplaces.
Ensure occupational hygiene monitoring, objectives and plans implemented against annual KPI
Ensure review, assess, validate site monitoring results, check against compliance and report monthly and quarterly.
Ensure health and hygiene monitoring consumable’s availability and monitoring equipment are up to date calibration services and maintenances
Produce and review the operating procedures for monitoring equipment and training packages
Write a regular and all kind of reports as necessary based on outcome of monitoring data results and inspections to assist leaders with decision making over hygiene matters
Report incidents or near misses that impact or have potential to impact on the employees’ health as required
Ensure good communication with team members to continue monitoring improvement work area with emphasis and ensure data collection is as accurately as possible at all times
Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
Qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Public Health or acceptable equivalent.
At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
Knowledge of Mongolian Health and Hygiene regulations
Intermediate English written and verbal communication skills
Strong and demonstrated commitment to occupational health and hygiene
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in Mongolian
Good computer skills in MS word, Excel and database software
