We are hiring an Officer Customs & Tax





Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of the copper concentrate export transport plan and support smooth border crossing of vehicles
  • Submit all the necessary information about goods and vehicles crossing the border accurately and correctly in accordance with the customs declaration form, complete all relevant documents and send them to the customs authority in a timely manner, and act as a customs declarant.
  • Always verify the accuracy of the information required for customs declarations and clearance, and constantly seek ways to reduce the risk of errors and inform colleagues accordingly.
  • Communicate and cooperate with government control institutions that directly or indirectly participate/influence transport logistics activities in accordance with business ethics policies and procedures, and adhere to The Way We Work principles. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant laws and regulations related to customs, including the Law on Customs, Regulations on Customs Control Zones, Law on Customs Tariffs and Customs Taxes, Procedures for Taking Samples of Goods, Probability Analysis, and Making Conclusions and Law on Offence. 
  • Always seek legal methods and opportunities to improve operations using knowledge and experience of laws and regulations relevant to the activities of the respective department, demonstrating a proactive approach
  • Possess proper knowledge of the customs electronic service system and the integrated systems for Contract registration managed by the Customs General Administration and General Intelligence Agency, with the ability to work effectively using those systems
  • Efficiently and accurately enter all necessary information into the integrated systems for Contract registration, monitor whether the conclusions of the Customs Laboratory are correctly recorded, correct deductions are made without errors, and promptly take appropriate measures when corrections are necessary. 
  • Possess the ability and knowledge to work on SAP and WMS systems. Develop information required for customs clearance, transportation documents, and invoices for goods without errors, accurately and precisely using these systems.
  • Check and ensure that the documents required for customs clearance are in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and send accurate and error-free documents to the customs brokers representing the goods recipient without delay.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with business units and other operational departments and units to ensure the successful implementation of team goals and plans. This also applies to state authorities, including the Customs General Administration, the Customs Department in Gashuun Sukhait, the Customs Branch at the company, the Customs Central Laboratory and Branch Laboratory, etc.
  • Focus on ensuring normal and stable operation of the customs control zone and ensure full compliance with the relevant regulations
  • Establish and improve communication and coordination between the teams working in the customs control zones, disseminating information about changes and reforms related to the operations of the customs control zones to the relevant teams, including the Bagging Plant, Customs Accredited Carriers, Transport Logistics Department, IT Department, Maintenance Teams, etc, in a timely manner. 
  • When necessary, prepare and issue integrated data and reports on the key indicators and performance for your areas of responsibility and always consult with and obtain permission from the Supervisor before disseminating information to other units, departments, and cooperating organizations.
  • Obtain appropriate permits, special certificates, and analysis reports required for customs clearance from relevant governmental authorities from time to time, and in doing so, communicate and cooperate in accordance with the business ethics norms, and ensure not to create any undue advantages.
  • Ensure comprehensive management and implementation of arrangements for advance payment of customs clearance fees and charges. Regularly monitor the balance of the advance payment account, make timely adjustments, prepare and send relevant reports accurately and precisely, and cooperate closely with the Company’s Finance Department in this area.
  • Ensure the accuracy and correctness of data related to daily operations and perform data analysis
  • Carry out shift work with high quality and in an error-free manner, archive documents in an orderly manner, provide clear and transparent shift reports, and avoid delegating one’s tasks and responsibilities to others
  • Demonstrate a willingness to help and support colleagues and new employees
  • Possess the ability and knowledge to work on the LMS system
  • Efficiently manage and organize administrative tasks required for the implementation of the cooperation agreement within the scope of the customs control zone and the customs branch laboratory at the company. This includes administrative tasks such as maintenance work orders, travel and accommodation orders, PPE provision, safety training orders, receiving visitors, obtaining site access permits, and ensuring the safety of visitors at the mine.
  • Adhere to occupational safety and health laws, company safety procedures and standards, actively promote and uphold safety practices when performing assigned tasks,
  • Perform duties with ethics and professionalism, maintaining an open-minded, curious approach, seeking new ideas.
  • Respect diversity when collaborating with government organizations on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the company, avoiding errors in relational matters, and adhering to the business ethics policies and procedures.
  • Always maintain the confidentiality of goods sales contracts, price invoices and information related to purchasing parties.
  • Provide support for scheduled and non-scheduled audit inspections of the operations of the relevant departments’ operations, address any inconsistencies and violations identified by inspections, and focus on the timely implementation of corrective measures.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Customs, Transport and Logistics or relevant discipline.
  • Valid certificate for Customs declaration 
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
  • Qualification for data analysis
