Manages and supervises trade employees in maintenance activities.

Resolves on the job issues (with regards to planned maintenance activities, maintenance
shutdowns, etc)
Monitors working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees
working in the area.
Health, Safety & Environment
Attend all HSE required meeting and communicate back to the team to reinforce individual and team safety through daily line-up meeting;
Assist in developing a safety culture whilst ensuring that all work undertaken in areas of responsibility comply with existing safety legislation and is in full compliance with applicable HSE standards;
Ensure the safety of all team members and that risks are identified, mitigated and managed;
Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
Enforces best safety practices and ensures employees to receive appropriate safety trainings in relation to principles of maintenance activities;
Contribute to the development of HSE operating and training materials , TRACK, JHAs, assignment plans and standard working procedures;
Constantly focus on safety attitude of team members and help them to achieve “Zero Harm” culture;
Run a check and make sure the CCC's are authentic and precise.

Operational Delivery
The Specialist Essential Services is the overall responsible for maintaining equipment, technical systems and structures to the standards laid down in applicable rules and regulations.
Safely and efficiently supervises the day-to-day operations of all three maintenance teams in accordance with Rio Tinto, OT and Mongolian standards, policies and procedures specifically to carry the obligation and properly follow the GASI regulations and codes including The Way We Work, Work Management Process etc;
Assign crew members to specific tasks in order to meet daily and weekly schedule compliance within the performance metrics of Rio Tinto;
Strongly exposed to the communication with government representatives from GASI;
Perform checkups after all repair works for completion. This includes physical inspections and probability to drive test before equipment is turned back to user departments;
Ensure optimum and effective use of facilities and equipment within the Fleet Maintenance;
Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed;
Participate in team and departmental meetings by providing feedback on current day to day activity and recommendations for improvement;
Plan training & development in conjunction with the workforce management tools
Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the cranes, fire protection system, HVAC, air compressor, OH door, critical equipment and other related systems in all site wide locations;
Ensure BOM updates are done in a timely manner;
Liaise with planners and key stake holders on availability and requirements of parts, components and equipment;
Maintain Essential services related systems and document control all equipment in TUUL&ONON;
Analyze equipment downtime ramification and develop contingency plans in the event of equipment or systems failure.
Flexible to work overtime and off shifts in both capacity of days and nights, out of roster schedule as well;
Conduct to ensure maintenance SWPs are met and aligned with work place;
Ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed/scheduled and maintenance crew members are properly trained
Maintain and monitor live process of KPI and information boards;
Actively engage with the Superintendent Essential Services, and periodically updates him/her on the status of maintenance tasks being performed and report if there any issues;
Performs mechanical duties as needed;
Perform other related functions as assigned by Superintendent Essential Services;
Leadership
Provide coverage for Superintendent Essential Services when he/ she is on roster break or leave;
Managing own career by being accountable for one’s behavior, performance and development;
Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and conducting disciplinary action as needed. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions;
Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations to maintenance team including contractors;
Build a strong working relationship with other department teams;
Engaging with all relevant stakeholders within Essential Services and OT;
Implements and maintains a mechanical training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for team members in repair of mobile, fixed equipment and Essential Services systems;
Constantly develop team members’ skills to levels of maximum efficiency and safety;
Inspire and motivate the team members to adapt cost saving behavior and achieve certain outcomes periodically;
Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
