We are hiring a Project Cost Controller





 Duties and responsibilities:                                                                                                             

  • Regularly monitor actual project expenditures against the budget and forecast future costs. Prepare detailed cost reports and financial summaries to present to project managers and senior management.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of changes in project scope, including additional work or alterations, and incorporate these changes into the project budget.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to manage contracts, including reviewing bids, making recommendations, and ensuring contract compliance regarding project costs.
  • Identify potential financial risks associated with project delays, cost overruns, and other issues. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Work closely with project managers, project leads, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cost objectives are met. Provide cost-related input and advice during project planning and execution phases.
  • Use financial modeling to predict the outcomes of project financial performance. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted or forecasted costs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Continually assess and improve cost control methods, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cost management.
  • Assist in tracking and documenting Project Change Notices (PCN) to ensure proper integration of scope and cost adjustments.
  • Maintain relationships with internal cost control engineers and external project partners to support cost control activities.
  • Acting as a backup for the Project Planner by handling non-SME responsibilities as needed or during the Project Planner’s roster break.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Requirements:                                                                                                            

  • Financing, Engineering, Project management.                        
  • Experience in cost controlling and thorough knowledge of cost measurements; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in construction projects is preferred.  
  • Fluency in English is an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently within short timeframes and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn new things and contribute actively and positively to the team with a proactive attitude. 

 

Contract term: 1 year
