Specialist Commissioning Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Oversight: Direct and supervise all stages of engineer-led commissioning activities.
Coordination and Collaboration: Liaise between various teams to ensure adherence to schedules, pinpoint deficiencies, and facilitate timely resolutions.
Reporting and Management: Produce comprehensive weekly reports for senior management, covering working areas and progress, highlighting challenges and solutions.
Handover Facilitation: Ensure a smooth transition of commissioned work to end users by addressing identified deficiencies promptly and efficiently.
Walkdowns: Punch-lists and manage deficiencies in design, construction, and handover stages, collaborating with relevant teams for on-time completion.
Daily Oversight: Supervise and provide guidance on daily commissioning activities to ensure successful outcome.
Documentation Compliance: Ensure accuracy and completeness of critical documents like Notice of Energization and Certificates, issuing them within specified timeframes.
Resource Planning: Strategize staffing and equipment needs, supporting various projects across multiple disciplines effectively.
Regulatory Compliance: Engage actively in the handover process to State Commission, acquire necessary permits, and ensure adherence to legal and safety regulations.
System Improvement: Plan and implement strategies for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of systems under commissioning.
Risk Assessment: Participate in project monitoring and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential Commissioning and operational setbacks.
Team Management: Schedule and manage team vacations to ensure optimal support during critical project phases.
Tools and Documentation: Verify the completeness of commissioning tools, collaborating with the operational readiness team for accuracy in critical documents and studies.
Engineering Liaison: Engage with design engineers to discuss and document design issues, ensuring seamless integration with the commissioning process.
Stakeholder Communication: Participate in relevant meetings, sharing essential updates and information with relevant stakeholders.
Safety Advocacy: Uphold responsibility for a safe and efficient work environment, ensuring compliance with company health and safety standards, promptly reporting any hazards or unsafe practices.
Compliance Assurance: Oversee proper completion of documentation like CVC’s and TCCC handover adherence to Commissioning and handover manual and guidelines.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Compliance: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of specialized PPE, like special tools and testing equipment.
Commissioning tasks, as well as the review of SWP and work permits, were correctly completed and reviewed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise significant practical experience and on the job training.
