Support development and management of tactics to support maintenance execution of physical assets, including assisting in planning, prioritization, and improvement processes.
Drive analysis into maintenance and performance data to improve reliability, performance, cost and support project justification.
Conduct technical and data-based analysis to manage processes including Risk Management, Asset Health, Operate for Reliability, Design for Reliability, Life Cycle Cost, Modelling
Project manage minor capital and OPEX projects aimed at reliability improvement for defects identified by DE processes by Reliability Engineers.
Continuously improve junior engineers’ skills through coaching and assignment of tasks.
Review and ensure MOCs that relate to asset lifecycles and long-term plans. Encourage and coach people to follow up and update MOC on various types of changes.
Foster cross-functional relationships to achieve asset reliability and optimization opportunities.
Mandatory site approver for locally governed changes to strategies and tactics.
Develop and optimize strategies and tactics using formal risk-based processes.
Provide technical support for PM01 and PM02 scope development and execution.
Maintain site Asset Criticality Assessment (ACA) register.
Ensure the handover of new assets is suitably prepared.
Site process champion for Defect Elimination (DE) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Lead detailed complex investigation processes (Tier 3 PROACT) and supports basic reviews of unplanned failure and monthly Defect Elimination Management Operating System (MOS).
Systemize and sustain the change of reliability-focused initiatives.
Ensure critical spares are identified and established for new assets or asset upgrades as well as changes required to critical spares associated with maintenance strategy changes to assets.
Contribute to the development of whole-of-life asset plans and support implementation.
Provide input to site execution Asset Management Plans (tactics, risks, lifecycle cost model)
Provide support to MOC process as they relate to maintenance tactics, defect elimination improvement actions.
Ensure performance improvement impacts on MTBF are communicated to Maintenance Execution, AM teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
Govern reliability data quality to enable loss analysis and loss accounting quality control (downtime, SAP reliability)
Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
Required: bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable:
Business degree or other commercial experience demonstrating financial acumen.
Root Cause Analysis qualification (Apollo, Taproot, Practical Problem Solving, PROACT or similar)
Mechanical Failure Analysis Training
Minimum 3 years working in a mining maintenance and/or reliability role.
Previous experience working in a mining environment is essential.
Desirable: The ability to speak and write in English at a professional level will be highly regarded.
