Manage international freight forwarding, courier, expediting, consumable inventory management, warehousing, and onshore or offshore transportation, customs brokerage operations daily to ensure a reliable and on-time delivery of mining supplies and spare parts from all over the world to the Mine site.
Foresee potential risks in operational stages and communications, then take the necessary mitigation action to prevent delay and cost increase, and relevant law non-compliance.
Liaise with international suppliers and logistics service providers proactively and extensively to ensure the timely flow of documents and material movement.
Ensure that company freight is delivered in accordance with the pre-determined schedule to keep the DIFOT rate at the targeted level.
Complete the shipment processing steps within the required timeframe and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure at all times.
Take ownership of International Order Logistics Management System-related processes and procedures, ensure all data and reports are up-to-date and accurate.
Ensure the operational and commercial data using Excel, Power BI data, and reports are up-to-date and no discrepancies.
Comply Company international purchase orders' INCO Terms and apply them through all operational stages.
Produce reports on key metrics for the operation of the business to end users and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
Adhere to government rules and regulations, company policy and safety requirements.
Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained from the respective government authorities where and when they are required
Manage queries from all areas and departments on logistics matters, prioritise them, and respond or seek further guidance
Monitor and check the monthly commercial documents as they are presented from the various sources and contractors
Actively monitor the contractual obligations of the logistics service providers and customs brokers, any deviations are promptly reported to the leaders
Calculate transportation expense budget and create a Purchase Requisition/PR for the contracted international freight forwarders and the Courier
Review and verify invoices of the contracted international freight forwarders and Courier, and process the service entry sheet (SES) in the SAP system, or confirm payment
Liaise with customs brokers, contracted international freight forwarders, and the Courier to ensure the smooth flow of all documents for the import clearances at the borders to minimize any possible delay during border crossing
Review the calculation of import customs duties, fees, and grant approval for customs clearance to contracted customs brokers.
Conduct inspections of customs clearance for copper concentrate samples, review the calculation of tax fees, and grant approval for customs clearance.
Ensure monthly and weekly tax reconciliation reports are submitted accurately and within the required timeline
Supervise and monitor that the inbound goods are declared, related tax paid accurately, and cleared through customs in accordance with all customs laws and regulations
Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained in a timely manner from the respective government authorities and departments, as where and when they are required
Ensure the maintenance of customs clearance tax and fee reports, prepayment tax and fee accounts, and act for charging operations of the required amount in time
Supervise and monitor all the temporary import and export operations and ensure that the temporary equipment returns to the point of origin within the authorized time frame and conditions and that the tax deposits are refunded in a timely and procedural manner.
Supervise and remind the customs brokers of their obligations regarding contracted works and services, and monitor their performance relating to the shipment deliveries and customs clearances
Before high-value imports arrive at customs, review previous documentation, request the OOP-One of payment from the finance department, and deposit taxes and fees into designated customs accounts. Request the finance department to schedule payment of advance import tax payments, ensuring timely payment on separate days from regular payment schedules.
Consolidate the customs clearance of the software purchased and utilized by the company during the year at the end of the year.
Storage of import inventory customs clearance documents, customs tax and fee reports in paper and electronic form in the database, and work to ensure audit readiness
Adheres to government rules and regulations, company policy, and safety requirements.
Completes day-to-day work tasks and the application of structured knowledge and Best Practice principles to solve problems.
Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
Logistics or relevant discipline.
At least 5 years of operational experience in International freight forwarding
