Support all Health and Safety initiatives and improvement programs and implementing risk control actions, actively participate in safety toolbox meetings, learn from the incident reviews and take a corrective action
Ensure & maintain general housekeeping in all responsible areas especially in the metallurgical laboratory and associate areas
Supports peers & leaders by provides solid input in routine and ad-hoc daily activities
Maintain operation of Metallurgical laboratory at Company; manage and coordinate all activities accordingly, complying with HSE and applicable standards
Ensure appropriate focus and prioritization of assignments and tasks
Regular inspection of laboratory equipment and identifying of control issues to ensure normal operation of the equipment;
Coordination of proper storing and use of chemicals and maintain proper use of PPE
Management of ore and plant samples storage in the area and to maintain tight control on registration and storage condition
Manage and conduct metallurgical tests using respecitve laboratory SWP and techniques (Particle size determination, Weekly PSD & Monthly MLA)
Support in identifying opportunities to maximize value for Company, including (but not exclusive to) opportunities to improve future metallurgical performance etc.
Involvement in the development of concentrator conversion studies with external team and coordination of CTS engagement.
Focuses on long term projects and research works particalurly in flotation, chemicals and mineralogical studies to provide concrete technical knowledge to the plant operation
Provide findings and recommendation to the technical and operation team by preparing and sharing technical memos, reports, and communications
Assess & review process design & flow-sheets to optimize the circuit in overall for efficient metal production
Investigate and recommend for performance of the plant equipment considering the availability and reliability requirement
Analyse and review operational data, provide conclusions and recommendations where necessary and/or requested
Schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications, seek advice from recognized sources
Provide guidance to all technicians and metallurgists, direct their daily routines and take corrective actions where necessary
Implement and manage assignments associated with metallurgy research projects evolving several minor projects or one intermediate project;
Coordinate with mining, geology and other teams to understand the proporties of each ore types at Company, by utilizing all available resources
Maximize plant performance and productivity by giving clear and recommendation based on comprehensive analysis
Develop testwork procedures according to need and carry out laboratory testworks followed by data entry to spreadsheet and data interpretation
Investigate and do the required studies for the best benchmarking and industrial practices
Analyse results of testwork and communicate the results to related people and generate reports
Organize plant trials, sampling and surveys taking place in crushing, grinding, flotation and auxiliary areas
Continuously evaluate and keep abreast of new technologies for improving plant efficiency and reducing operating costs
Ensure regular inspection of laboratory equipment and compliance to standard to prevent unexpected failure of any equipment/material handling devices and breach of any requirement.
Ensure all equipment is accurately calibrated to provide accuracy of measurement devices and deviation is within recommended margin which will include calibration sampling, sample processing, and data entry.
Provide proactive feedback & evaluate progress and results and recommend changes in procedures.
Organize and plan for the plant trials and testing associated with implementation of project and evaluate the results and communicate accordingly
Use central systems for standard approval processes (PR, PO, SES, ANSI etc.) and other appropriate ways
Coordinate with mining, geology and other teams for forecasting process parameters based on ore type.
Coordinate and hosts contractors, vendors and personnel for any cooperating entities whenever required
Communicates effectively with peers within CTS for knowledge and information sharing.
Effective engagement and coordination with cooperating internal and external parties including consultants, suppliers, vendors and manufacturers
Deep involvement in the cooperation with RT C&D and OT studies team for any future ready study works and ensure effective communications and engagement are maintained
Manage and coordinate the work with Local universities and research entities under the cooperation agreement for mutual benefit
Ensures sufficient and effective partnership with OT internal teams such as open pit & UG MTS, geology and Business transformation and mod-long term production planning teams
Requirements:
Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
Mineral Processing, Metallurgical or Chemical Engineers or relevant discipline
At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise significant practical experience and on the job training.
