We are hiring an Engineer HVAC





Duties and Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment  (10%)

  • Role-model the OT HSE values and practices. Assist others to do the same Participate in the planning of projects to optimize HSE results. 
  • Participate in the promotion of safety as work culture through personal awareness and accountability in workplace and at home.
  • Attend daily safety morning meeting.
  • Support the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality standards for the areas under operates responsibility
  • Ensures safe operates practices, systems, & processes are established & comply with Mongolian & Rio Tinto HSEQ policies/standards, JHA’s, & safe work procedures.

Engineering (40%):

  • Liaise with contractors to ensure resources & objectives are aligned with the corporate strategy & objectives. 
  • Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment, including technical, studies and site investigations (includes relevant requirements needed such as permits, etc.). 
  • Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations. 
  • Maintains/optimises existing assets and applies complex problem solving techniques to resolve 
  • issues. 
  • Responsible for delivering results on specific KPIs. 
  • Responsible preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.   
  • To consulted with assigned engineers designers and maitanance for the technical solution.           
  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints. 
  • Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work. 
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. 
  • Conducts complex equipment failure investigation and mitigation. 
  • Engages with project and assignment stakeholders. The solution for the heating and ventilation system will be implemented in accordance with Mongolian and RioTinto norms and standards.
  • Understands the role of engineering and recognizes the impacts the engineering process has with regards to projects, operations and the broader company.
  • Assist the leader to set O&M contractor performance goals & objectives, execution based on plan to achieve them, ensures progress is made & corrective measures are taken as necessary. 
  • Promptly provide drawings and explanations of the solution required for the work to the associated engineer.

RCA/DE (20%):

  • Responsible a range of problems using largely defined procedures and solutions. Responsible to facilitate complex problem and identify solutions thend implement solututions.
  • Responsible for solution approval with assigned engineers to solve complex problem or cost saving projects.
  • Determines the cost advantages of alternatives.
  • Review the conversion of the test report into test results, develop engineering solutions, and consult with collaborating engineers.
  • Provides specific engineering training (equipment testing, specific instrument tools, interpreting the test results ) to the stakeholders and junior engineers.
  • Consult with the assigned engineers to troubleshoot and make an analysis for the any faults on the system and problem solving. 

Tactics (5%):

  • Prepare to develop maintenance tactics on plants or systems, as per the asset management guidelines. 
  • Encourages inter-departmental relationships with the goal of reliable production. 
  • Develops improvement plans to comply with internal/external stakeholder demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
  • Develops and implements recommendations for asset reliability and optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend and facilitate the development and implementation of strategies for improving equipment and process reliability

Projects&Costs (20%):

  • Responsible and effectively drive the Energy/cost saving projects.
  • Assists with the development of capital projects processes, practices and tools. 
  • Assists with applying discipline governance and quality assurance/ quality control across capital projects. 

MOC (5%):

  • Review and ensure MOCs which related to asset lifecycles and long term plans of assets. Encourage and coach people to follow up MOC on various type of changes. The required engineering solutions can be developed in conjunction with other engineering solutions to complete the MOC.

Requirement:

  • Engineer above a bachelor's degree in heating ventilation and air conditioning.
  • Design engineer of the heating ventilation and air conditioning.
  • Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in designing heating plants, outdoor heating, building heating, ventilation and cooling systems according to the working drawing stage. 
  • Experience in developing construction drawings of the HVAC system and check the design.
  • Works well in Autocad, Microsoft office, Microsoft project and other widely used applications.
