The QA and Quantity Surveyor performs the following key duties:
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality management plans and QA/QC procedures along with the project construction team.
Conduct inspections and audits on materials, workmanship, and construction methods with support from the project construction team.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against project quality requirements.
Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records.
Work closely with the project construction and engineering teams to ensure integrated quality performance.
Quantity Surveying:
Prepare detailed material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings and specifications.
Support cost estimation for budgeting, procurement, and cost reporting.
Monitor actual material consumption and construction progress against planned quantities.
Validate contractor progress claims and support payment certification processes.
Participate in the evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders.
Provide input for project financial reporting and forecasting.
Manage and track Field Engineering Queries (FEQs) related to quantities, materials, or design clarifications, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with engineering and construction teams.
Coordination & Support:
Support procurement by providing technical input on quantity and quality requirements in tender packages, if needed.
Work closely with Project Managers, Project Leads, Project Engineers, Construction Coordinators, and Procurement Officers to ensure alignment between scopes, drawings, and deliverables.
Participate in regular project meetings and inspections, ensuring early identification and resolution of quality or quantity-related issues.
Assist with final project close-out documentation including as-built data and quality records.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in QA/QC and/or quantity surveying roles in construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, standards, and codes.
Experience with project control tools, cost tracking, and inspection reporting systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
Prior experience in civil construction projects is preferred.
Fluency in English is an advantage.
Ability to work efficiently within short timeframes and demonstrate strong time management skills.
Willingness to learn new things and contribute actively and positively to the team with a proactive attitude.
