We are hiring a Quality Assurance & Quantity Surveyor Engineer





Duties and responsibilities:                                                                                                              

The QA and Quantity Surveyor performs the following key duties:

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality management plans and QA/QC procedures along with the project construction team.
  • Conduct inspections and audits on materials, workmanship, and construction methods with support from the project construction team. 
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against project quality requirements.
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance records.
  • Work closely with the project construction and engineering teams to ensure integrated quality performance.

Quantity Surveying:

  • Prepare detailed material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings and specifications.
  • Support cost estimation for budgeting, procurement, and cost reporting.
  • Monitor actual material consumption and construction progress against planned quantities.
  • Validate contractor progress claims and support payment certification processes.
  • Participate in the evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Provide input for project financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage and track Field Engineering Queries (FEQs) related to quantities, materials, or design clarifications, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with engineering and construction teams.

Coordination & Support:

  • Support procurement by providing technical input on quantity and quality requirements in tender packages, if needed.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Leads, Project Engineers, Construction Coordinators, and Procurement Officers to ensure alignment between scopes, drawings, and deliverables.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and inspections, ensuring early identification and resolution of quality or quantity-related issues.
  • Assist with final project close-out documentation including as-built data and quality records.

 Requirements:                                                                                                            

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.  
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in QA/QC and/or quantity surveying roles in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, standards, and codes.
  • Experience with project control tools, cost tracking, and inspection reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in civil construction projects is preferred.          
  • Fluency in English is an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently within short timeframes and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn new things and contribute actively and positively to the team with a proactive attitude.

 

Contract term: 1 year
