We are hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer





Duties and Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment  (10%)

  • Role-model the HSE values and practices. Assist others to do the same Participate in the planning of projects to optimize HSE results. 
  • Participate in the promotion of safety as work culture through personal awareness and accountability in workplace and at home.
  • Attend daily safety morning meeting.
  • Support the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality standards for the areas under operates responsibility
  • Ensures safe operates practices, systems, & processes are established & comply with HSEQ policies/standards, JHA’s, & safe work procedures.

Engineering (40%):

  • To effectively coordinate for the success in implementing the skills development program for maintainers.
  • Able to make a design and analysis, optimization of the mechanical
  • Applies standard techniques involving minor innovations of methodology to provide solutions to problems with a limited number of variables. 
  • Good knowledge the Mongolian and international regulations and standards (ASME, NFPA, BNbD-103, etc..) for the equipment installation and maintenance. 
  • Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment, including technical, studies and site investigations (includes relevant requirements needed such as permits, etc.). 
  • Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations. 
  • Maintains/optimises existing assets and applies complex problem solving techniques to resolve issues. 
  • Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.   
  • Provides technical leadership to a small group of assigned engineers, designers and technicians. 
  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints. 
  • Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work. 
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. 
  • Conducts complex equipment failure investigation and mitigation. 
  • Engages with project and assignment stakeholders. 
  • Understands the role of engineering and recognizes the impacts the engineering process has with regards to projects, operations and the broader company.

RCA/DE (20%):

  • Identify and Solve complex problems (related to safety, cash flow, production impact) with minimal support of Senior Engineer.
  • To troubleshoot and make an analysis for the any faults on the system and problem solving. 
  • Be able to use specific software and tools to make a simulation and fault analysis based on collected data 
  • Be able to use specific instrument tools for testing and calibrating to identifying the defects of the equipment.
  • Advanced level of presenting skills using graphs,  pareto charts, histograms and other statistical tools to analyse and report asset performance 

Tactics (5%):

  • Support to the developing the maintenance tactics based on National and Internation operational, technical regulation and RT asset management guideline 
  • Coach junior engineers and technicians to conduct the diagnostic tests and condition based monitoring based on maintenance tactic 
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan the technical support activities for the O & M program for the equipment. 
  • Assist in the development of maintenance program (PM and major maintenance) to optimize business and maintenance outcomes. 

Projects&Costs (20):

  • Assist to Energy Savings Manager in implementing the energy and cost savings solutions projects
  • Assist to leader in implementing the feasibility study of CAPEX and OPEX, HSE risk elimination projects 
  • Provides technical support and direction to project stakeholders.

MOC (5%):

  • Champion change by following Management of Change (MOC) procedures.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate or equivalent education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic colleges or universities. - Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise significant practical experience and on-the-job training.
  • Be able to lead people    
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD program
  • Intermediate English verbal and written skills
