We are hiring an Operator Concentrator





Duties and responsibilities:

  • Understand the shift schedule &, inside the limits of my authority, prioritise and adjust the work within the shift;
  • Put safety first in all work to achieve safe production and act as a role model in demonstrating and living the Company green behaviours
  • Build good working relationships with everyone I work with
  • Be an effective team member of my leader’s team
  • Qualified to do the work including develop & implement a training plan 
  • Provide my leader appropriate feedback. 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the procedures & processes I use, and use data & apply problem-solving techniques to improve these over time
  • Give and seek regular and effective feedback to and from my leader and team members so they perform their work safely & productively
  • Provide clear guidelines on escalation 
  • Spend time in the field 
  • Ensure incidents are reported & investigated - & that follow up occurs
  • Handover daily tasks to my leader and next crew

        My Authority with my team:

  • Within limits set by my leader, perform the tasks assigned;
  • Promptly raise any performance issues with my leader that I can’t deal. Other duties
  • Identify process instabilities, define the correction method, bring best practices to the team
  • Provide feedback to improvement projects, identify improvement ideas, 
  • Contributes actively to the daily prestart, hand-over meeting. 
  • Help leaders identifying and control safety risks in the concentrator as well as critical and process safety risks. 
  • Acts as a credible resource to operations team, perform additional duties, including but not limited to crane & rigging, gas tester, operating heavy machinery, isolation, fire warden, first aid responder etc. 
  • Perform tasks assigned by Company operations scheduling system safely and up to the standard 
  • Perform additional duties in any other areas within the concentrator plant when required.
  • Collaborate & co-work with other teams while performing work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment or relevant discipline. 
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.

Contract term: 1 year
